Job Summary
- To provide a safe, successful, timely and economical Electrical Maintenance & Repair Service for all Electrical Equipment within the scope of responsibility
- Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and administers the operation of the respective Electrical Maintenance Section at interest
- Ensures that the records are kept up to date for the equipment under remit
- Plans staff development to meet the Group’s current and future needs
- Ensures provision of an efficient, safe and economical electrical repair & maintenance service in accordance with the Company’s maintenance policies and safety procedures
- Attends to urgent operational equipment failures. Prepares failure reports and includes recommendations to prevent such failures re-occurring. Ensures that the revenue loss caused by production deferment due to failure of electrical equipment is minimized. Ensures continuous improvement of availability through elimination of repetitive failures
- History – Records in Maintenance Management System details of work done, faults found, parts replaced, time spent by whom to provide future data for analysis or audit. Makes recommendations for future maintenance and repairs
- Trouble-shooting – Alone or with craft or IMI assistance, investigate possible or known plant problems to identify and provide potential solutions to availability, reliability or integrity problems
- In-house Health & Safety- Leads or participates in Daily Tool Box Talks, Monthly safety meetings, Annual fire and safety training, First Aid training. Medical check-ups, all to ensure the well-being of staff and plant. Other Duties & Special Studies – Participate & contributes in occasional ad-hoc working parties, investigations, Compliance Audits, Mechanical Safety Audits and Training.
Experience
- Degree in relevant Electrical Engineering discipline
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in refinery/petrochemical projects
- Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and organize delegated work schedules
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical maintenance deliverables as well as good experience in review of these electrical engineering deliverables.
- Hands-on/field experience in electrical activities related to planned and unplanned maintenance.
- Familiarity with international design codes and standards such as ISA, ANSI, API, ASME, NEC, European (EN), etc., standard industry practices and engineering software.
